As an American citizen, I am extremely concerned with the future of this great nation we live in. I have no political afiliation. I am neither democrat or republican. In my honest opinion one is as crooked or dishonest as the other. We live in a me society which only seems to care about ourselves as an individual rather than what is best for our country. In past generations such as the generation of the great depression and the WWII generation they came together as one voice and sacrificed and worked together to accomplish the obstacles that they faced. Over the last thirty years our elected officials have dug us into a financial hole, and continue to spend money with the maturity of a teenager with their parents credit card.. Congress has increased our spending limit without making any real significant cut backs on their spending, or defining where these spending cuts will occur. I have seen no leadership from our president in all of this and out of Congress and the Senate all I see is constant bickering. When will our elected officials stop screaming my side is right and your side is wrong and start caring about the needs of the American people? It is my hope that by creating this blog that "WE THE PEOPLE" can discuss the problems that we face as a nation and maybee come up with some intelligent possible solutions to our common problems. I am interested in hearing real possible solutions to these problems. This is not a blog to express your political allegiances and blame one side or the other. We hear enough of that every day on the news channels from the people that we have elected to lead this great country of ours. In my opinion they have all failed us and are not taking the current problems seriously. They are just sticking with the usual tactics that have goten us into the mess that we are in. I do not believe that this is a problem created by democrats or republicans. I truely believe that the whole political system is broken, and that serious changes need to be made for the sake of the future of this country. Please feel free to help me search for possible solutions to the problems that we face as a nation and express your concerns about the problems we face as Americans. Maybee together we can come up with possible solutions since the people we elected to do this are too busy arguing rather than trying to solve our problems. These are the concerns I have as an American.
1- How do we create jobs in this country and encourage financial growth?
2- Cuts obviously have to be made in spending. What areas do you see as prime targets for cuts?
3- How do you feel about the job that our leaders in the executive, legislative and judicial branches of our government are doing?
4- What is the best way to get our leaders to stop fighting each other and start looking for viable solutions to our country's problems.
